Project Purpose
| Low-income families living in targeted Bolivian rural and urban communities will have access to improved environmental health infrastructure and the skills to maintain it, thus achieving a better quality of life. |
Goal 1 SAFE WATER | Families in targeted communities will have access to safe water systems. Volunteers and their work partners will: - Build 100 new water systems
- Improve 200 existing water systems
- Train 300 local water committees
- Train 12,500 people in household water purification
- Train 5,000 water system operators

Goal 2 SANITATION | People in target communities will have access to and will properly use latrines/bathrooms and gray water systems. Volunteers and their work partners will: - Train 10,000 in handling of excrements
- Facilitate construction of new and improvement of existing latrines for 4,000 families
- Facilitate construction of grey water systems for 1,000 families
- Ensure that 1,000 families’ latrines comply with checklist

Goal 3 SOLID WASTE | People in targeted communities will understand and practice proper solid waste disposal, thus improving their quality of life. Volunteers and their work partners will: • Train 2,000 people on solid waste separation for recycling • Train 2,000 people on plastics recycling • Train 2,000 people on proper solid waste management • Train 2,000 people on reduce, reuse recycle |
