One of the highlights of the inauguration of the United States pavilion at EXPOCRUZ fair was the event organized by American enterprise Jet Pack International (JPI), which featured the Flying Man.

JPI’s machine is the world’s most advanced personal flying equipment. Based on an invention by Bell Aerosystems in 1960, and inspired by James-Bond-movie Thunderball, Troy Widgery created a flying machine resembling the one in the movie.

During its visit to Bolivia, JPI’s team included three technicians and one pilot. The demonstration machine flown at EXPOCRUZ is the most advanced prototype in the world. It flies for approximately 30 seconds. The T-73 model (currently under development) will fly for about 9 minutes.
